Cancer Symptoms – Dr Sarnia Ward

It’s really important to remember that if you have symptoms that you’re worried could be cancer, that primary care in Dorset is here for you. Your GP will want to hear from you.

Your referral to hospital

Dr Sarnia Ward, local GP and clinical lead for the Dorset Cancer Partnership, explains what happens when your GP refers you to the hospital and explains how the hospitals are putting measures in place to keep you safe.

Lung cancer symptoms

If you experience symptoms you are worried could be lung cancer, it is important that you speak to your GP. Dr Jennifer Graves, respiratory consultant at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, explains why this is important and how hospitals are putting precautions in place to keep you safe.

Lung cancer

Dr Andie Siggers, a local GP, explains that there has recently been a significant reduction in the number of people being seen at hospitals with symptoms of lung cancer. If you have any symptoms, please contact your GP.
