Keen to get moving? 5k Your Way is coming to Dorset!

Join us on the last Saturday of every month.

If you are living with or beyond cancer, if you’re a family member, a friend, or if you work in cancer services, you are invited to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at a local 5k Your Way parkrun event.

You will be met by a wonderful ambassador at a designated meeting spot. The ambassadors are your ‘go to’ for each event and will run/walk with some of you if they can. Afterwards the ambassador will gather you together for socialising over a much-needed hot drink and cake!

The Portsmouth group is already up and running, and Dorset events are launching at the following park runs:

Weymouth

Saturday 29th October 

Dorchester – The Great Field

Poole

Moors Valley

Upton House

It is hoped there will soon be a 5k Your Way once a month at every parkrun in Dorset.

You need to register before you can take part in your first event. Visit the 5k Your Way website for details of how to register.

5k Your Way are looking for volunteer ambassadors for each group. It’s not too much of a time commitment as the groups meet only on the last Saturday of the month. They need at least one healthcare professional per location, but the more the merrier. If you are interested please email eforsyth@activedorset.org
