Macmillan parkrun Takeover for World Cancer Day

01/02/24

This weekend Macmillan are hosting a parkrun takeover for World Cancer Day. This is to increase awareness of Macmillan services, so everyone living with cancer knows that we are there to support them from the point of diagnosis.

Macmillan Cancer Support are proud to be an official charity partner of parkrun UK, which offers everyone a free and inclusive 5km event. parkruns promote inclusivity, the benefits of physical activity and a community atmosphere. All events are organised by volunteers.

How to take part

To commemorate World Cancer Day 2024, and the 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, attend your local parkrun on 3rd February and wear something green.
